"At 4:30 am I drove to the airport under the bright Colorado stars and watched everything in a new light. Knowing that I wouldn't see this part of the world for a long time, I gave one last goodbye. Although, even then an excitement overwhelmed me, just knowing another incredible place awaited. All it took to get there was a trip, across the atlantic. " Journal entry, September 2015
