I have arrived to my home in España. The town is called Moralzarzal and is about 25 minutes away from downtown Madrid. It is incredible here. Although small, the windy cobblestone streets always lead you to beautiful places. There is also an enormous bull ring, being the town's crown jewel, well other than the tall craggy mountains surrounding us. In addition there is a city, 5 minutes down the road named Villalba, so I get the best of both worlds in a ten minute radius. Moral's Fiestas were this past Friday and saturday, and let me tell you, the Spanish know how to party. There were thousands upon thousands of smiling people tightly packed in the center of the town. They had placed traditional town fair rides along one side of the town, and on the other had placed a huge stage from which you could here the spanish music from all parts of the village. The energy was infectious and the people, well, they were definitely having a good time. A shock for me was how late everyone stayed. First off, my friends and I didn't actually get into the Fiesta until around 10 and we stayed until around four. However many people didn't even go home, the just kept up the festivities, right into the next night. This party lasts for four days. Other than that people are incredibly majo (kind) and I fit right in.
