Hola, que tal mundo?
As the semester is winding down, the school load is winding up here in Spain, and let me tell you, these kids are smart. Yeah, school in the states is incredibly difficult and we have an an enormous workload. However, it is nothing like completing work, and studying for exams for nine classes in a different language. Sorry for the lack of adventure in that paragraph, but I am getting to it, just needed to inform everyone that an exchange student's life isn't all fun in games.
Now, let me tell you about Madrid. For me to get there in bus is about 30 minutes, even quicker in car, and I have gone just about every weekend. From the tourists who run around Sol, frantically shopping along the main Granbia strip, to the couples, old and young who walk the lengths of Retiro park, there is an abundant amount of energy. It is a very easy city to get around in, on metro, but being who I am I prefer to take my time and walk, sometimes for hours on end just looking at everything the city has to offer, and to search for hidden treasures. The walk from Sol to Madrid Central is about twenty minutes and it's straight through long windy streets that are lined with small boutiques and buzzing restaurants. Imagine the most european city scene you can think of and that is what I am explaining. In Madrid Central is the Prado, which is HUGE. It's very difficult to see all of it, and I spent most of my time staring at Rembrandt's pieces, which are out of this world. Therefore I did not get to explore all of the museum, but let me tell you, everything in that place is gorgeous, just like the rest of the city.
Hasta luego friends!! Deberes (homework) for me.
